However, there are conflicting reports on its rot resistance, ranging from perishable to moderately durable, and it has poor insect/borer resistance.
Workability: Due to its density and sometimes wild or interlocked grain, olive wood veneer can be somewhat difficult to process, and tear-out may occur during surfacing operations. It has high movement in service and is considered to have poor stability, especially when branch wood is used. However, it turns superbly and glues and finishes well.
